Very tiny Tuesday
Hello Friends,
Swell has faded overnight and as of 0800 it was 0.8 metres from the ESE at 10 seconds apart. At Dee Why this meant infrequent knee to waist high sets along the beach and pretty much nothing at the point. The Bureau’s hoisted a strong wind warning for S-SW at 15-25 kts today, building to 25-30 kt southerlies tomorrow.
Wednesday will be showery and windy as the south swell arrives and builds into the 3-4 metre range by around lunch time. Surf prospects aren’t looking great, but there could be scrappy but sizeable opportunities for the fit and keen in the south corners.
Thursday should see the wind swing to the SW as the southerly swell keeps pushing along in the 3+ metre range. Could be interesting but again, at that size only the fittest and most experienced should be in the water.
Have a top old Tuesday everyone!
Weather Situation
A cold front will enter the far south coast late today and continue crossing the rest of the coastal waters through Wednesday, whipping strong to gale-force southerly winds along the coast and large powerful waves in its wake. Winds and surf conditions will gradually ease later in the week as the front is followed by a high pressure system drifting across the state.
