Cool, sunny with little waves for Monday morning
Hello Friends,
Monday started with light NW breeze along the coast and fog over the harbour. Swell was a metre at 10 seconds from the ESE.
As you can see from the snap, there were waist-ish high waves at Dee Why for those keen enough to brave the 13 C air temps. It’s nothing amazing, but they’re fun looking and well suited to the corky option in your quiver.
From the look of the models, you should be able to catch a little something tomorrow morning as well. Then on Wednesday a fresh south pulse should fill in under cloudy, even showery, skies. Wind is set to be from the W-SW, so it could be interesting. And the good news is that Thursday and Friday are currently looking very promising. A week of surf coming up!
Go well one and all.
Weather Situation
A ridge extends across the coast, bringing southeasterly winds to the north coast of NSW and northerly winds to the southern part of the coast. The high will move gradually east today before winds turn west to southwesterly along the coast late tonight or early Tuesday as a trough passes over the NSW coast. On Wednesday winds will strengthen and tend southwesterly, becoming gusty at times, as a the trough moves east and develops into a deep low, before easing Thursday as a high over Victoria extends a ridge along the coast.
