More waves for Sunday morning
Hello Friends,
Get in while you can folks. This won’t last much longer.
As of 0900 we had sunny skies and a light WNW breeze was grooming a 1.5 metre, 14-second period SE swell. Sets were into the chest-plus range and they were arriving fairly regularly. Tide was coming off the low at 0655 as it heads to a modest 1.3 metre high at 1255. Water’s clean and 19 C.
Although the surf will dial back, it looks as though we should have little waves of some sort or other tomorrow and Tuesday. The swell models are still showing a mid-week south pulse in the 2-3 metre, 8-10 second range. It should arrive sometime early Wednesday, peak overnight into Thursday, but still be delivering 2-ish metre straight south swell through Friday.
If you’re keen there could be a wave of some sort every morning for the next week.
Have a great Sunday.
Weather Situation
A high centred over Victoria extends a ridge across most of the state while a trough lies off the the north coast bringing south to southeasterly winds to NSW waters. During today the coastal trough will decay while the high moves over the Tasman Sea, bringing southeasterly winds to the northern part of the coast and northerly winds to the southern part of the coast. On Monday winds will tend north to northeasterly as the high moves further east before a southwesterly change associated with a trough makes its way up the coast on Tuesday, with winds tending strong southwesterly on Wednesday as the trough moves east and develops into a deep low pressure system.
