Beautiful seascapes this morning
Hello Friends,
No surfin’ at Dee Why this morning and, thanks to the 16-27 kt SE wind, even the most protected corners are going to be very messy. Swell at sea was 3.7 metres at 10-11 seconds from the east.
According to the Bureau, the wind will move around to the east this evening and stay out of that direction through tomorrow. Thursday’s not looking interesting either, so maybe, possibly as the swell fades, we’ll have a window of opportunity on Friday morning as the wind intensity decreases and the direction moves around to the NW.
A good morning to find a sheltered spot to watch restless sea with a cup of coffee to hand.
Go well!
Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system to the southwest of the state extends a ridge across the far south coast while a coastal trough near the southern Mid North Coast slowly heads northwards, maintaining strong to gale force south to southeasterly winds and large powerful surf, particularly along the north coast. Winds and surf are forecast to ease gradually from midweek onwards as the trough gradually weakens ahead of a series of cold fronts and associated troughs approaching the state towards the end of the week.
