Lines but what about waves
Hello Friends,
Odd. When I grabbed the pics around 0900 the swell at sea was 1.6 metres from the east at 11 seconds apart, and yet Dee Why point was surfer-less. There were lines coming into the beach which I’d describe as waist to maybe chest high but I didn’t see anyone scoring from my perch high atop the plateau of Collaroy. Maybe we’re between shifts or something. Anyway, if you get to a reasonable east exposure (eg North Steyne or Curly), you’ll definitely find something.
This morning’s forecast tells us to expect showers and rain through to at least this time next week. The Goat should be along later today with his thoughts on the surf prospects for the coming surf week and as always I’m looking forward to what he has to say…

A trough and embedded low pressure system is forecast to form off the north coast and move offshore from Friday. Over the weekend, a cold front will move across the state with a secondary trough developing off the NSW coast during Sunday. As a result, fresh to strong southerly winds will extend along the coast from the south.
