Near flat this morning but big later
Hello Friends,
The BoM tells us to expect 2-3 metres of south swell by midday along with 20-25 kts of southerly wind. But, as you can see from the pics, it was flat at Dee Why, sunny and offshore as Thursday kicked off.
Maybe this afternoon there will be something surfable in the protected south corners. In the meantime, you might find a little knee-high wave at beaches more dialed-in to the remnant NE wind bump.
I’m interested to see what the Goat thinks about the weekend and beyond. My quick take is that it looks pretty reasonable…
Go well!
Weather Situation
A strong and gusty southerly change will continue to extend northwards along the coast today following the passage of a cold front. Winds are expected to ease from the south from Friday as a slow-moving high pressure system makes its way over the region. Winds are forecast to turn northeast to southeasterly over the weekend as the high enters the Tasman Sea.
Forecast for Thursday until midnight
