Very small this morning
Hello Friends,
Along with the odd passing shower, there were sunny breaks this morning along with WSW wind and some very tiny S by SSW wind swell. It was 2.5 metres out at sea by the period was only 6-7 seconds, so the only surfable bumps looked pretty much like the shot of Longy above. Take your floatiest surf option and maybe you’ll find a bumpy knee high face to putt along on for a few metres before it fades away.
As the latest marine forecast (see below) indicates, we can expect the SW wind to be replaced by a SE’r this afternoon Then tomorrow the wind’s likely to be easterly but the combo S and E swells could be producing some scrappy junky shoulder-plus waves. Thursday currently looks like being smaller but possibly slightly more surfable and then maybe Friday morning we get a few clean ones in the knee to chest high range at magnets.
Go well with your Tuesday and maybe duck into your nearest early voting location to do your civic duty.
Weather Situation
A low pressure system lies offshore bringing fresh to strong south to southwesterly winds to the southern part of the coast. Winds will become moderate and tend easterly from Wednesday as the low moves to the east and a broad ridge forms over NSW. The ridge strengthens on Thursday bringing east to northeasterly winds.
