Sunny Sunday with waves for play

0 2

Hello Friends,

The first weekend of the NSW school holidays and we have little waves with sunny skies. As of 0830 the with was 3-6 kts from the west and swell was 1.3 metres at 9 seconds from the east. This was producing waist to occasionally chest plus along the beach at Dee Why. There were a few hopefuls at the point, but no one caught a wave while I was taking the pictures.

Water temp was an off-the-charts 24 and pollution free at Dee Why.  The first tide of the day was the 1.54 m high at 0825 (the 0.5 m  low’s at 1420).

We can expect the wind to swing to the NE before long but the Bureau says it’ll only be 10-15 kts later, so there should be wave possibilities pretty much all day.

The BoM says tomorrow should be similar to today in terms of both weather and surf prospects. So nothing amazing, but you should be able to get wet if you’re so inclined.

On Tuesday we can expect more showery weather and a return to SE wind along with a mix of east and south swell in the metre-ish range. Right now it looks as though the southerly conditions will last through Wednesday before – hopefully – dialling back to “interesting” as the winds get SW and the SE-E combo swell energy gets into the (potentially) head high range at magnets…

Have a great Sunday!
