Clean little bumps about this morning
Hello Friends,
If you were up early there were a few small to tiny waves around the place. The metre-ish swell was coming from the south at 12 seconds apart, so wave faces were getting into the chest high range on the bomb sets. It wasn’t very consistent, but the water’s a crazy warm 24 C and the wind coming lightly from the west as of 0700. It’ll gradually go around to the E-SE as the day goes along. As you can see from the pictures, the 0750 1.58 m high tide was making it fat and full. A few more spots could come into play as it runs out to the 0.5 metre low at 1355.
The good news is that our waves should hold at around the current intensity over the weekend and then build a little into the coming week. With luck we could see SE energy into the 2 metre range by midweek.
Have a good one!
Weather Situation
Southeasterly to northeasterly winds are mainly expected for the remainder of this week and much of next week with a series of high pressure systems to the south and over the Tasman Sea maintaining a ridge over New South Wales. Meanwhile, a series of fronts that slip by to the south of the state will produce a southerly that for the southern half of the coast today, and a second southerly change for the southern half of the coast on Monday and Tuesday.
