Up the coast

0 4

Hello Friends,

Hanging out at Crescent Head this week. We weren’t seeing the kind of power smashing Sydney today because the swell’s too south. It’s mostly going right past the point, but every now and then we were getting shoulder high sets down the line. The wind was offshore but the way the swell was refracting into the bay, it was rare to see one run all the way down the point. As the tide came in it got fatter and fatter too. So nothing amazing, but worth getting in the water.

Here’s hoping the swell gets a little more east to it as the energy gradually fades over the next few days…

Hope your day’s going well!

Weather Situation

A deep low pressure system to the southeast of the state is bringing vigorous south to southwesterly winds and large waves to the coastal waters. Winds and surf conditions will ease through the midweek as the low gradually moves further southeast and weakens. Another trough over Queensland is forecast to move southwards, extending to northern New South Wales on Wednesday and moves offshore. This will be followed by a series of west to southwesterly changes crossing the coastal waters later in the week.
