Right on the edge of flat
Hello Friends,
A mostly cloudy start to Friday with a light north breeze and, sadly, only the tiniest of weak little knee-high ripples coming into the focal points. The MHL buoy was detecting 0.9 metres of 14-second energy from the SSE along with 5-6 second easterly wind bump. I could see no evidence of the long period stuff when I went out for a look this morning. Looking like another morning for a swim or a paddle on your longest, floatiest board.
If you’re wondering about the outlook, well the Mighty Goat has cast the runes and examined the entrails to peer into the misty surf future…
Weather Situation
A high pressure system near New Zealand extends a ridge across the northern NSW coast. A trough is moving up the coast this morning as a southerly change, stalling about the Hunter until early next week. After this a high pressure system ridge sets up south of Australia maintaining an easterly flow over NSW next week.
