The Goat’s Surf Forecast

0 4

Surf forecsast issued Thursday 13 March 2025: Seven day outlook for Sydney

Some were out just before evening enjoying about 1 metre waves from South East, which looked better during the day on banks that had nice shape, a minor legacy of TC Alfred.

Erratic Windbag TC Alfred has now gone to where fizzled out cyclones go to be forgotten. For a time, he had everyone’s . People in his path rightly planned for the worst, and hoped for the best. Everyone wanted to know What’s Alfred done today?

Having intially acted threateningly, and making a lot of wind and noise, he provided some people with some short lived excitingly wild rides. He also caused some mess and rubbish, but thankfully never quite lived up to the more dire expectations or predictions.

The Surf Outlook

Friday: around 1 metre or so give or take from South East

Saturday: bit smaller from dead South

Sunday: around 1 metre or less North East

Monday: starting to come up from dead South, say 1-2 metres at places open to dead South

Tuesday: then easing back down a bit

Wednesday: around 1 metre or so

Thursday: smaller

In these uncertain and changeable times, TG suggests: Take a deep breath, and think of Alfred ….(only briefly), then calmly consider your options.  The Headless Chook approach is never particularly useful.

And Keep Smiling!
