Little bumps on a warm morning
Hello Friends,
We should a high of 29 along the beaches today and skies should be mostly sunny too. Sadly we have only the tiniest of waves to cool off in at Dee Why. As of 0800 the wind was still coming from the west. It’ll swing to the north as the day goes along as it gets into the 10-15 kt range. Swell was 1.2 metres and coming from the SE at 11 seconds apart, so there definitely should be some kind of wave at SE magnets.
Water’s clean and sitting on 23C today. The first tide of the daylight hours is a 1.71 m high at 0920. The low is set to be 0.42 metres at 1540.
The Goat rolled out his regular Thursday week-ahead surf forecast and as always, I recommend his witty, decades-deep surf wisdom to you.
Go well with your Thursday everyone!
Forecast issued at 4:10 am EDT on Friday 14 March 2025.
Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea currently extends a weak ridge over the NSW coast, maintaining generally northeasterly winds over the next couple of days. North to northeasterly winds are forecast to strengthen later in the week as the system deepens ahead of the next cold front. This front and its associated trough are expected to bring a gusty southerly change along the coast later in the weekend and into early next week. A high behind the the cold front will extend a ridge along the coast early next week.
