Sunny with hopes of a little wave
Hello Friends,
Bright, sunny skies for Thursday morning along the beaches and surf prospects have edged up from nil yesterday to tiny at SE magnets. The MHL buoy’s 0600 report showed 1.3 metres from the SSE at 10 seconds. That should translate into knee to waist with the odd plus at optimally aligned locations. We should have NE wind later, so jumping in early is going to be the plan. Tide hits a deepish 1.73 metre high at 0845. Weather’s set to stay sunny as it heads to a high of 29 later.
It’s Thursday, so the Mighty Goat usually shares his wisdom with us at some point. I’m looking forward to his thoughts about our prospects for mid next week… so check back later for the straight dope!
Go well with your Thursday.
Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge along the NSW coast, maintaining generally northeasterly winds over the next couple of days. A cold front will slip to the south of the state during the morning, with its associated trough bringing a weak southerly change along the South Coast during today and Friday before weakening. North to northeasterly winds are forecast to strengthen later in the week as the high pressure system in the Tasman Sea deepens, ahead of the next cold front that looks set to bring a southerly change along the coast later in the weekend and into early next week.
