Waves for the early

0 19

Hello Friends,

Definitely a few little fun ones around this morning, but the light SE wind will pick up as the day goes along, so cleanest conditions will, as usual, be early. Swell at sea is coming primarily from the southern quarters and was 2 metres at 8 seconds at 0800. Tide will be on the run out this morning as it drops to the 0.64 low at 1250. Weather should be partly cloudy with a high of 26 along the coast.

Looking ahead it would seem that we’re in for increasingly marginal as the swell fades into the metre range and the average periods bumble along in the sub-10 second range for the front half of the week. Right now the models are showing a possible uptick into the fun range on Thursday when we could see a mix of ESE and S swell energy getting us back into the shoulder plus category at magnets.

Go well and have a great Saturday!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system in the Bight is extending a ridge along the NSW coast. This high will move east into the Tasman Sea during Sunday, maintaining the ridge along the coast into next week. A low pressure trough is located over the interior of the state and will remain slow moving, until early next week. The trough will combine with a cold front passing to the south and cross much of the south and west on Tuesday, crossing the southern and central parts of the coast as a cool and gusty southerly change, before stalling along the north coast mid next week.
