Firing up nicely

0 6

Hello Friends,

Warm water and fun-size waves at Dee Why this morning around 0730. The wind was westerly (!) and the 0600 data from MHL was showing 2 metres of 9-second energy out of the ESE. The point was looking well-attended and there were more than a few surf folk scattered along the beach toward the Pole (and beyond, no doubt). Beachwatch is still rating the 23C water as “pollution possible” at Dee Why and Northy, but everywhere else is rated clean.

Wind’s due to swing around to the NE by this afternoon, so the plan is to hit it asap if you can. Tide was low at 0810 and will be back to high at 1400. Weather should be mostly sunny with a high of 27 and a UV index of 11 between 0900 and 1700.

The cloud-showery stuff returns from tomorrow and on current reckoning is set to stay that way for a week (at least).

Tomorrow’s set to be NE’ly from early and the swell’s due to fade a little more too. Thursday’s shaping to be S-SE windwise but with swell perking from the south (50% chance of rain as well).

There should be small SE swell around into the weekend, but you’ll want to be up early to beat the onshores. Beyond that, it looks as though we’re in for a run of marginal little east windswell and north wind…

Go well!
