Liddle waves with west wind early

0 2

Hello Friends,

Perfect settings this morning but only 1.6 metres of 10 sec period SE swell to play with. The marine forecast says we can expect a south change through around midday and with it a bump up in swell energy, but I doubt the surf prospects will be attractive. That said, the wind and swell call for tomorrow does look rather interesting (see below the pic). Might be a good idea to get your need to check the beach on Christmas morning onto the radars of your nearest and dearest… oh, and while you’re at it, clear the decks for Thursday too as that could be best combo of morning offshores and tidier swell. And, with luck, the fun will continue again of Friday morning.

Yo-ho-ho!

Weather Situation

A high pressure ridge extends across the coast, bringing generally settled weather. A cold front is forecast to cross the southern coastal waters later this evening bringing another southerly change, and progressing northward along the remainder of the coast today. After this another ridge is expected to build in the wake of the front with north to northeasterly wind building along the coast, bringing settled conditions for Christmas.
