The Goat’s Surf Forecast

0 1

Surf forecast issued Friday 22 November 2024: Seven day outlook for Sydney

It’s one of those blue sky days that you only get in Oz.

Deep, clear, clean, fresh… and warm…a perfect Goldilocks 26 max, with an ENE wind wafting to and fro, alternately signalling to the cicadas to sing Out Loud!…And then, Shut Up!

The kind of day that had TG reflecting, after pleasant coffee and socialising, with the birds singing, the bees humming, the overall serenity of it all, should he really be worrying instead about the problems confronting the world ??.

The kind of day he said… after reading a cross section of reliable global news sources*, am I confusing this with the fictional novel I’ve just read?

When non fiction seems like fiction, fiction seems like non fiction; comedy seems like drama, and drama seems like comedy…should I worry more?? …he mused out loud.

Even the kookaburras laughed.

A bucket of cold water and a Wake up to yourself, you Goose!!, soon brought him back to reality and focussing on “his job”…besides enjoying the day!

The surf is around 1.56 metres from an Eastish variable direction with sets of 10+ seconds

The Surf Outlook for the week ahead looks like will be mostly affectcd (chopped up) by the daily winds varying from light to Noreast to light, and then later, a southerly

Saturday: somewhere in the 1=2 metre range South East

Sunday: ditto at places theat get dead South swell

Monday: ditto North East

Tuesday: up a little in the 1-2 metre range North East

Wednesday: ditto ditto

Thursday: ditto South

Friday: down a bit in the 1-2 metre range Eastish

(A bonus.. a roving surf reporter in Torquay reports that the surf at Jan Juc is around 3 feet from the East, making some nice peaks. Warm day.Water is “reasonable” (ie cold) . Tomoorrow the surf outlook is looking good and the day hot. Thanks Benny)

Have a good one.

TG.

*Not to be confused with news on social media. Everyone knows that (un) social media is _all_ fictional comedy. Right?! Really, a talking goat??
