Tuesday kicked off with rain, 15-20 kts of SSE wind and 1.8 metres of 6-second S by SSW(!) chop. Oh, and if you did want to get in the water for some reason, Beachwatch warns that pollution is possible at Dee Why this morning. Give it a pass everyone, tomorrow should be back to surfable and Thursday’s looking distinctly interesting (see marine forecast below).
Weather Situation
South easterly flow is current in the wake of a trough of low pressure that is traversing the coastal waters today before stalling in the far north coast and decaying midweek. Increasing northerly winds are expected to develop late in the week, then a cold front looks set to cross the coast between late Friday and Saturday, with a fresh westerly wind change in its wake.
