Sunny Sunday surf day

0 2

Hello Friends,

Warm and sunny skies with 10-15 kts of NW wind to groom the incoming 1-metre, 11-second period SE swell at midday as I came back from a fun run for the Harris-Walz campaign put on by Sydney-based American voters. The swell didn’t exactly look powerful, but sets were plentiful and there were chest-plusses in the mix. Naturally, given the perfect conditions and a holiday weekend, nobody was having a solitary surf experience.

Tomorrow’s shaping to be smaller, but with luck the spots working today will still be delivering the odd fun one – and it’ll be sunny.

Tuesday’s still looking like being southerly and messy, but there might be the odd lump on Wednesday and Thursday. If the models have it right, Friday could see a south pulse into the chest to maybe shoulder plus range – unfortunately it may have south wind on top of it.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

A series of cold fronts are expected to pass to the south during the weekend, bringing bursts of fresh westerly winds to the southern half of the coast and a brief southerly change to the far south later Sunday. A more significant cold front looks set to bring a fresh to strong south to southeasterly change later Monday night and during Tuesday with a ridge of high pressure developing in its wake.
