Firing up

0 1

Hello Friends,

Waves happening at NE exposures. Wind was north at 0700 but it should go NW and then westerly as the day goes along. Swell is coming from the ESE-SE. It was 1.9 metres at 12 seconds apart, so set waves are overhead at the best locations. Swell is due to fade across the day, but the wind outlook means that you should find something whenever you get to the beach. Tide hits the 1.62 m high at 0925 and is back to the 0.42 m low at 1545. Water’s clean and still on 18 C.

With luck tomorrow and Monday should still have a few fun little ones along the open stretches and then it looks as though we might see another 2-ish metre straight-ish south pulse start to fill in on Tuesday (probably a write-off due to stiff southerly wind on top of it) with Wednesday and Thursday currently shaping to be chest to shoulder at south magnets along with light winds for the early.

Go well everyone!

Weather Situation

A cold front and its associated trough are crossing southern and central coastal waters today, with winds turning westerly in their wake. A series of cold front passing to the south of the state will maintain fresh westerly winds over the southern half of the coast during the weekend till Monday, then a more significant cold front looks set to cross much of the coast on Tuesday, with a fresh and gusty southerly wind change in its wake.
