Back to micro at Dee Why this morning
Hello Friends,
It was looking like a lake between sets at Dee Why. However, the swell out at sea was 1.2 metres and coming from the S by SSE at 14 seconds apart. So, if you were willing to wait, every now and then something in the waist plus range would wind around the point. South exposures will be seeing bigger sets than that I’d guess, but the waits will be long. Weather is sunny and wind was 9-13 kts from the NNW as of 0730. Tide was heading toward the 0850 1.73 m high (which won’t improve most places).
Like yesterday, there were tide-affected but clean little waves at the north end of the Manly stretch…
Freshie was picking the swell up too…
And, the north end of Curl Curl (see also top pic) had several fat peaks working…
Weather Situation
A cold front will move across the state today, bringing fresh to strong and gusty westerly winds to parts of the coast. A series of follow-up fronts will then clip the far south during the weekend, followed by a high pressure system moving over the state early next week.
