The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf Forecast issued Thursday 12 September 2024: Seven day outlook for Sydney

TG: The sun’s not out, the sky’s not blue

There’s lots of clouds to spoil my view

And it’s raining… Raining in the yaaarrrddd”..

Apols to Buddy, RIP

And after looking at the Bureau’s forecast, he has threatened to go into hibernation.. at least for the next week..

The wind is making a wind chill on top of everything else that makes a day at the beach/going in the surf look decidedly like appealing only to the thrill seekers.. Where there’s a wave, it’s windblown rubbish: Where it’s sheltered, there are no waves today. Swell’s coming up from dead South with the Blow, but the period isn’t long enough to get into sheltered spots.

Saw a whale mother and calf heading south this week.  After coming from the warmer waters up  north I imagine the calf is asking about now..Where the ,,, are you taking me, mum?!

The Surf outlook for the week ahead is

Friday: somewhere in the 1-2 metre range at dead South places

Saturday: down a bit, say 1 – 1+ metres South East

Sunday: similar at first, then starting to come up again with the wind, say 2-3 metre range dead South spots

Monday: down a bit,  2-2.5 metres dead South

Tuesday: similar

Wednesday: down more, 1- 1+ metres dead South

Thursday: ditto.

Stay warm. Pleanty of other things to do for exercise to keep you happy and Have Fun!
