Another micro morning for the beaches
Hello Friends,
Sunny again this morning but still just about flat everywhere. There were a few ankle to knee-high wave faces at the Northern ends, but a high tide at 1000 was not helping. The 0700 MHL report showed 0.8 metres of 12-second easterly swell, while wind was out of the NNW at 6-13 kts.. The wind’ll pick up as the day goes along, but the swell will stay below a metre.
If you’re wondering about the surf prospects, I’m pleased to let you know that the Goat has scrutinized the runes, mulled the entrails and read the leaves before issuing his latest predictions about the coming week…
Go well with your Friday one and all!
Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea will remain slow-moving, extending a ridge towards the northern waters for the coming days. Meanwhile, a trough and cold front are expected to bring a southerly change to southern waters later Friday which will weaken as it moves further north on Saturday. A second trough is forecast to arrive on Sunday and possibly stall over the northern waters.
