Yeah, nah for surf but it’s a beautiful day

0 2

Hello Friends,

No surf at Dee Why this morning. Out at sea as of 0700 swell was 0.9 metres from the SSE at close to 12 seconds, so well-aligned south magnets might be just barely into the catchable range. If you’re thinking of going for a swim or paddle, Beachwatch says pollution is unlikely and water is now 18C.

The swell models continue to tell us that our next swell should start filling in overnight tomorrow and Tuesday looks like being solidly into the head plus range at south magnets on what should be a sunny with SW wind. Tide will be a moderate 1.4 m high at 0830 Tuesday am, so you may want to circle the date on your calendar. The models show the swell and fine weather conditions again for Wednesday.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Weather Situation

Gusty westerly winds will remain across the south and east through the weekend as a cold front passes to the south. A more significant cold front looks set to cross the state on Monday, bringing a vigorous west to southwest wind change in its wake. Winds are expected to ease on Tuesday as a large high pressure system moves across the state.
