NeilPryde tell us: “Sponsoring Gran Canaria World Cup & Ricardo Campello In the light of a challenging budget situation affecting the entire water sports industry, we initially had to decline sponsorship requests from Ricardo Campello and the organizer of the Pozo World Cup, Björn Dunkerbeck. However, both the Gran Canaria World Cup and Ricardo Campello play crucial roles in the global perception of windsurfing. After re-evaluating our resources, we decided it was time to give back to the sport that is at the heart of our identity.

At NeilPryde and JP-Australia, we are convinced that windsurfing is not just a sport; it’s our origin, our passion, and our ongoing commitment. We invest heavily in the development of windsurfing because it is where our hearts truly lie. Supporting the Gran Canaria World Cup and aiding one of the sport’s most dedicated athletes in making his event comeback felt like the right move for us and the windsurfing community. By supporting this event and Ricardo Campello, we aim to reinforce our dedication to windsurfing and its global presence. Windsurfing is our first love, and it will always be our primary focus, even in challenging times. The cherry on the cake is obviously our double event victory with the freshly crowned King & Queen of Pozo, Sarah Quita Offringa and Marino Gil Gherardi winning the wave category with an outstanding performance in extremely gnarly conditions.”
