Long glassy lines
Hello Friends,
Although the swell heights at sea were down to around 1.2 metres at 0730 this morning, the period was hanging in there at 9-10 seconds and most of the energy was coming from the ESE. At Dee Why this was translating into chest to shoulder high sets along the beach. Skies were clouding over but the wind was coming lightly from the west, so surface conditions were nice and smooth. The first tide of the day was a moderate 1.48 m high shortly after 0700, it’s now running out to the 0.5 m low at 1250.
Weatherwise, rain’s expected later today and then the Bureau tells us it’ll be showery through Saturday. Wave energy is expected to fade steadily but, if the GFS model’s right, there should still be waves into the weekend.
Go well!
