Sunny, offshore and waves for Wednesday

0 2

Hello Friends,

The sky was bright blue, the breeze was coming lightly from the WNW and we have a 2 metre, SE swell at 8 seconds apart. This was delivering the occasional shoulder plus set at the point, and the odd overhead bomb along the beach. Tide hit a 1.44 m high at 0715 and is now running out to the 0.59 m low at 1300. Weather is set to be sunny all day as we head to a high of 20. And that happens to be the current water temp too.

Outlook is for conditions to be much the same tomorrow. And we should have similar surf prospects into the weekend, although the weather will start to get showery again on Saturday.

Have a great Wednesday!

Weather Situation

Fresh southerly winds along the coast will gradually ease as a high pressure system, currently over the Bight, slowly drifts towards western Victoria while extending a ridge to the southeast. The high is forecast to weaken during the midweek as it reaches southeast of the continent, then a trough looks set to clip the far south coast late in the week. Another high pressure system will move towards Tasmania on Friday and maintain a ridge across eastern New South Wales.
