Gloomy and small
Hello Friends,
It was a good morning to sleep in.
Yesterday’s swell has dropped a bit, but more importantly the period has weakened. As of 0400 the MHL buoy was detecting 3 metres of 8 second south to S by SSE swell out at sea, but as the pictures show, waves were considerably smaller than those offshore heights. Plus, the. southerly has been blowing hard all night at 20-30 kts. And then of course there’s the showery grey skies…
Miss-able, in a word.
The outlook is for more onshore wind tomorrow but there should be a more easterly swell and with any luck, lighter wind for the early session. Right now the coming work week is shaping to start with a few days of sunnier conditions, light winds early and waist-ish high east wind swell…
Go well everyone!
Weather Situation
A low pressure trough lingers about the northeastern coastline, while a high-pressure system will move east into the southern Tasman Sea maintaining the south to southeasterly airstream along the coast. A second trough is expected to move north along the coast today with a strengthening in the southerly expected.
