Sunny start to Tuesday
Hello Friends,
Despite the rain up north, Sydney’s looking at a standard issue, sunny summer day. The NNE breeze was texturing the ocean surface from early and as of 0830 was blowing at 7-11 kts. It’ll hit 15-20 kts by the early afternoon. The little south swell has faded away as 6-sec period, 1.5 metre NE wind bump takes over, This won’t be a day for Dee Why, so if you’re keen head to your favourite NE wind swell magnet for some soft waist-ish high bumps. Tide’s coming into the 1305 1.54 m high as I write this. The weather call is for a high of 29 and water is sitting on a balmy 22.
Looking ahead, tomorrow and Thursday mornings at NE magnets look to be the best shots for a modest wave. Beyond that, the end of the week and beyond is currently looking like being pretty ho-hum with only short period east-ish stuff S grading to east wind patterns.
Go well everyone!
Weather Situation
A trough is lingering over the far northern waters while a high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge along the remainder of the coast. Another trough will develop over inland New South Wales and move east during the week, bringing a southerly change to southern and central waters on Thursday, and the northern waters on Friday.
