Scrappy little bumps for the last morning of 2023

0 26

Hello Friends,
As you can see from the pic above, the magnets like Longy were seeing the odd surfable moment on sets. But, if you were at a less optimally aligned location, for example at Dee Why, it was weaker and smaller. Out at sea it was 2 metres on average at about 10 seconds apart and coming from 194°, which means most of the energy was headed away from us. Wind has been SSE since 0500, as of 1000 it was 8-13 kts and, according to the forecast, it’ll stick around at about that intensity all day.  Throw in the cloudy weather, and you’re looking at a fairly undistinguished end to 2023. Still, at least there’s a little something to mess around in if you’re hanging out waiting for the fireworks.

It looks like this slight pulse will fade back to around a metre tomorrow, but south exposures could potentially be fun for the early.

Happy New Year’s eve everyone!

Fireworks watchers staked out their spots early
The Dee Why end was not looking too exciting at 0930.

Weather Situation

Little change to this pattern is expected until later in the week.
