Grey, near flat and cool again

0 25

Hello Friends,

Well, at least it’s not 40. But we are back to grey skies and the near flat surf conditions continue. Swell at sea this morning was 1.8 metres at 8 seconds from the SSE. At Dee Why that was translating into ankle to thigh-high bumps, which is pretty much what I’d expect to find elsewhere. Beachwatch says the water is a summery 22 this morning.

The current surf prospects look unlikely to change until mid-week when the models continue to show a metre-ish, 14+ second south pulse on Wednesday.  Not sure how it will play out of course, but at least it’s a blip of hope in what otherwise looks like another week of tiny, weak surf conditions.

Go well with your Sunday everyone!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is directing northeasterly winds along the New South Wales coast today with the trough bringing a gusty southerly change to southern and central parts of the coast yesterday and this morning has stalled at Seal Rocks and will decay today. Winds will then tend east to northeasterly through the remainder of the forecast period, as a new high becomes established over the Tasman sea. The next significant change is expected towards the end of the coming week.
