Really tiny
Hello Friends,
Nothing at the point and only very small up the beach toward Long Reef as Tuesday kicks off. Swell was 0.8 metres at 8 seconds from the SE as of 0800. Wind was NNE 9-10 kts. First tide of the day was a low at 0830. It’ll be back to high at 1445, by which time the NE’r should be up as we head to a high of 28 along the beaches on what promises to be a sunny day.
Both the GFS and ECMWF models are showing short period windswell with swell heights around the metre mark for the next three days. The GFS gets a little more hopeful for the weekend, predicting some metre-plus 9-ish second NE on Saturday with light winds for the early.
Have a top old Tuesday!
Weather Situation
A broad ridge of high pressure extends across the east while a trough over the western part of the continent extends to the state’s southwest, directing north to northeasterly airstream along the southern and central parts of the coast. Another trough will brush the coastal waters on Wednesday, bringing a coastal southerly wind change along the southern and central parts of the coast and reaching about Port Macquarie by Wednesday evening before weakening.
