Southerly and tiny
Hello Friends,
The wind blew out of the WSW-SSW before daybreak, so surface conditions before 0900 were relatively clean. Unfortunately there was just about no swell energy. The southerly is now with us and while it will gradually push the short period swell up over the next 24 hours, there probably won’t be many surf options out of the wind. From here it looks like not much of interest coming our way until we’re into the weekend. My hope is that the wind will be more favourable and that the swell will still be offering solid sets at south magnets come Sunday morning…
weather Situation
A cold front is tracking across the inland, and will continue to the northeast today. Following this, a strong high pressure system moving across the Bass Strait between Thursday and Friday will strengthen south to southeasterly winds along the coast, while a transient low pressure system developing off the north coast on Friday reinforces southerly winds and swells before heading to the Tasman Sea during the weekend.
