Nice little lines this morning

We were having a break from the showers when your correspondent climbed aloft to RealSurf HQ’s crows nest for squizz at conditions. The wind was cold and coming from the WNW at 8-12 kts. As you can see from the pictures, the 1.8 m, 13-seconds south swell was looking pretty tidy. It looks too lined up for the beach, and too south to really light up the point, but the sets are into chest plus range.
There’s a 70% chance of showers and we’re due to have a high of 17 today, which happens to be the same as the water according to Beachwatch. Tide hit high at 0750 and will be back to low at 1320.
If you don’t mind the chill, this morning at your favourite south swell magnet could be a plan… and if you want to wait another day, tomorrow is still looking pretty hopeful at the aforesaid magnets…

Weather Situation
A trough extending to the north of the state is connected to a low pressure system off the coast. This low is expected to move offshore, directing south to southeasterly winds in the wake. Winds will turn northeasterly during the midweek as a high pressure system moves across the southeast of the continent during today and Wednesday ahead of a series of cold fronts that look set to cross the state later in the week.
