Showery start to Monday
Hello Friends,
Rain threatening, but there were waves to be had thanks to 1.7 metres of 11-second south swell. It wasn’t amazing or anything and the waits between the waist high sets were on the long side, but you could come away from a session with a wave or two added to you lifetime count. Wind was still light south when I grabbed the snaps, but it’s likely to come up a bit later. The Bureau says that swell energy is going to fade and tomorrow should see it into the knee to waist range. Beyond that there isn’t much of interest on the long range models for us. The ECM model says sub-1metre swell until mid-month at least, while the GFS prediction is very slightly more hopeful for Friday…
Have a great Monday everyone!

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system centred near Adelaide is extending a ridge eastwards and will be the dominant feature over southeast Australia during the next few days, maintaining generally southerly winds over coastal waters. By Wednesday the high is expected to be over the Tasman Sea, resulting in a northerly wind shift in most areas. The next front is likely to bring a westerly change during Thursday or Friday.
