No sign of the south pulse this morning

Hello Friends,
The Bureau says we should see the south swell coming up toward midday, but as of 0730 there were absolutely no signs of it at Dee Why. Out at sea the 1.2 metre swell was coming from 185° at 6 seconds apart, so I’m not surprised at the current flatness. The period is way too short, and the westerly tweak to the direction means the paltry energy is angling away from us. I’m therefore not hopeful about any significant improvement later in the day.
Outlook remains bleak for waves until (maybe) early to mid next week according to the swell models. So, whatever you do for flat spell exercise, I’d say keep doing that.
Nice weather though!
Have a great Thursday everyone.
