Flat or near enough
Hello Friends,
Another perfect winter day unfolds – apart from the one thing surfers really need. The skies were clear and the wind was coming lightly from the WNW when I took the picture around 0630. Tide was about an hour away from the low at 0750. But out at sea there was only a tiny ripple of vaguely east-ish wind swell and while the dawn patrol turned up, they were hard-pressed to catch the ankle-to-knee-high bumps on offer. Looks like a great day for a beach walk with your binos to see if you can spot any whale activity.
This morning’s swell modelling does not offer any real prospect of decent waves for the holiday weekend in Sydney. The most hopeful models are showing a little south swell filling in mid-week, but they’re only projecting a metre and a bit at 8-9 seconds, so think waist to chest or so.
In the meantime, have yourself a great weekend one and all!
