Swell dialled back but still punchy

0 6

Hello Friends,

At 0930 the wind was out of the west at 8-11 kts under beautiful blue skies. Out at sea, the swell 2.5 metres from the SE at 10 seconds apart. Tide was coming in to a 1.3m high at noon and the weather should be sunny all day as we head to a high of 20. Water is clean and the ocean temp is sitting on 21.

Did my usual drive to Manly this morning, so herewith a few snaps of the situation at Manly and Dee Why.

Swell is expected to continue slowly fading through to the weekend, but there should be solid waves tomorrow and fun ones for Friday too. Autumn is so good.

At Dee Why it was looking more raw and bumpy at the point and the beach was still pretty much maxed out.

South Narrabeen shutting down

Weather Situation

Winds and surf conditions are gradually easing over the coming days as a high pressure ridge extends across the coastal waters from the west. The centre of the high will move across the south over the next few days and enter the Tasman Sea by Thursday. Then a trough will brush the southern half of the coast during the latter part of the week before stalling offshore during the weekend through early new week.
