Hello Friends,

Checked out Manly this morning and can report that it was mostly in the shoulder to head-high range, but with the occasional clean up set to keep surfers on their toes. Definitely not a day for beginners.

Swell at sea when the pictures were taken was 3.6 metres at 11 seconds from the SE. Wind was out of the west at 12-17 kts. Tide hits high at 1100. Wind is set to turn south late in the afternoon and to be southerly for the next couple of days…

Dee Why was kind of like Manly in that the lulls made the point look reasonably approachable for intermediate and above skill levels. But then a set would come through…

Weather Situation

A low pressure system well offshore of the coast, generating vigorous southwesterly winds and large, powerful waves. Winds will gradually ease during today as the low continues to move away to the east and a high pressure ridge extends across the coastal waters from the west. However, surf conditions are likely to remain hazardous for the next few days.
