Most places maxxed out this morning

0 17

Hello Friends,

The pictures tell the story.

It’s way too big to surf at most places this morning thanks to a 4+ metre 14-second southerly ground swell. Not that it’s all that relevant, but wind was out of the west at 10-15kts when I grabbed the snaps.

As the forecast notes below, we should see the peak energy levels this morning, but the large and powerful surf conditions warning runs through to tomorrow. Beyond that, Thursday morning might be reasonable for the early, but the models currently show southerlies for the end of the week. Could be fun again on Saturday maybe.

Weather Situation

A low pressure system is moving across the southern Tasman Sea, generating a vigorous southwesterly flow and a large southerly swell along the New South Wales coast. Winds are forecast to gradually ease and tend southerly later today and during Tuesday as the low moves towards New Zealand. The next trough looks set to move across the coast state during Wednesday and Thursday. A low pressure system may develop over the Tasman Sea within this trough on Thursday but is expected to quickly move away to the east.
