Little glassy Wednesday

0 18

Hello Friends,

Tide was coming into the swampy 1.9 metre high tide at 0940, so when I took the snaps around 0730, Dee Why was looking rather fat and full for the 1.4 metre 12-13 second SSE swell. Sets looked to have chest high faces though, and that’s a good thing. Wind was light and coming from the WNW. The Bureau expected it to be NE by now, so I’m not sure that the clean conditions will last much longer. Weather should be partly cloudy with a high of 25 and a chance of a passing sprinkle. Ocean temp is 23 this morning and the water is clean according to Beachwatch.

Tomorrow should be warmer with more northerly wind and there is the prospect of small waves too. The long-range models are pointing toward a change to SE’ly conditions for the weekend with some wet stuff thrown in for good measure.

Go well everyone!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system near Tasmania will drift eastwards across the Tasman Sea through the rest of the working week, resulting in winds shifting more easterly over the coming days. Then a low pressure system is forecast to form off the Gippsland Coast and head into the Tasman Sea midweek, with its associated trough bringing a southerly wind change during the latter part of the week.
