Dwindling but not flat
Hello Friends,
Swell has dialed back overnight, but there were still little waves in the waist-high range to be had at Dee Why. Out at sea swell was a metre at 9 seconds from the east and the wind was out of the south at 5-9 kts as of 0730. The forecast calls for wind to be east to SE 15-20 kts by around lunchtime. Tide was high at 0500 and will be back to low at noon when we’ll also be closing in on the high of 30.

Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge strengthening across the state will bring a fresh southerly change over southern waters, extending north during the day. Winds will again become northerly and freshen on the weekend as a high pressure system moves into the Tasman Sea. A strong cold front is expected on Sunday and Monday, bringing another fresh to strong southerly change.

- West to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots shifting east to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots in the middle of the day and easing to east to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the evening.
- Seas
- Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the afternoon.
- Swell
- Southerly around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the afternoon.

- Sunny.

- Winds
- Northeasterly 15 to 20 knots, reaching up to 25 knots offshore in the evening.

- Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 2 metres around midday.

- Southerly 2 metres, decreasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the morning, then decreasing to around 1 metre during the afternoon.

- Northerly 15 to 20 knots increasing to 25 knots before shifting south to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots during the evening.
