Pumping and packed on Sunday morning

0 3

Hello Friends,

Sunday kicked off with shoulder to head and a bit high sets at Dee Why for the keen crowds. Swell was 1.7 metres at a healthy 13 seconds from the SE as of 0830.  Wind was light NW, but due to step up into the strong wind warning range by this afternoon. That’ll chew up the south ends as the swell gradually loses intensity. First tide of the day was a 1.67 high at 0805. Weather’s set to be sunny with a high of 28 and water is 24. This morning is definitely not for beginners, There’s way too much energy for the inexperienced rider, so know your limits. Oh, and best take the eBike if you’re heading to Dee Why for a surf as the parking’s packed.

If Sunday’s out for you, then maybe keep an eye on the front half of the coming work week. From here it looks as though the early sessions could be pretty okay.

Go well with your day!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea currently extends a ridge along the New South Wales coast, bringing southeast to northeasterly winds. Winds will gradually turn more northerly during the next day or two as the high moves slowly east. A trough will bring a southerly change to the southern coast during Monday, before an associated cold front delivers a vigorous westerly change to southern and central areas on Tuesday and Wednesday. Winds will again shift southerly on Thursday as a new ridge of high pressure extends across from the west in the wake of the cold front.
