Hefty Tuesday
Hello Friends,
[Update 0940: scroll down to see additional pictures]
Large and powerful surf conditions prevailed along Sydney’s beaches this morning. If you were very fit and slightly crazy, there were rideable waves at the point amongst the general marine mayhem. Wind was SW at 8-13 kts and the swell at sea was 3 metres at 13 seconds from the east as of 0700. As you can see from the pics, at Dee Why point that translated into 2-3X overhead wave faces on the bombs.
The swell likely peaked overnight, so it’ll be dropping back to more approachable size by tomorrow morning. Wind should be reasonably light for the early on Wednesday from the look of the current forecasts and set waves are probably going to be back into the chest to shoulder high range.
There’s an 80% chance of a shower today on what promises to be a grey one weatherwise.
Have a great Tuesday and know your limits!
