Dull old day for the diehards
Hello Friends,
Grey skies again and 15-20 kts of southerly wind was beating up the 2.2 metre 6-second NE wind bump as of 0600. There were little lines showing at Dee Why, but they were lumpy, bumpy and too gutless to really catch. Tide was low at 0745 and will be back to high at 1400, but surf prospects are highly unlikely to improve today. The Goat should roll out a fresh forecast later today so, as always, I’ll be very interested to see his read on our prospects. My quick scan of the models makes me think Monday might be fun, Tuesday funner and Wednesday challenging, but in a good way.
Have a great Thursday everyone and catch you again tomorrow.
Weather Situation
A high pressure system near New Zealand is extending a ridge towards northeast New South Wales, directing generally east to northeasterly winds along the northern coast. A low pressure trough and fresh to strong southerly change has reached central waters where it is forecast to stall and decay today. Winds will tend east to northeasterly again from Friday as another high moves over the southern Tasman Sea.
