Glassy and sorta slow this morning
Hello Friends,
As expected, the swell’s faded overnight. But it was glassy for the early and if you were patient, the best exposures were still seeing the odd set wave face in the shoulder plus range. Of course mostly it was a lot smaller than that.
There were waves all along the Manly stretch this morning, but I didn’t stop for pics. South Steyne seemed to be getting the most energy. Around the corner at Freshwater, there were some nice looking, but very soft lines. You needed a bit of volume as a consequence.
Curly seemed to be best at the north end, but as with everywhere else, the wave were fat and full looking.
By 0900 the wind was 6-10 kts from the NW. Swell out at sea was 1.3 metres at 9-10 seconds from the ENE. Water was clean everywhere away from the lagoon entrances (which were mostly rated as pollution possible) and water temp hasn’t budged from 19C. As the day warms up to the 24C high, there’s the chance of the odd thunder storm.
Go well everyone!
