Surf happening on Monday morning
Hello Friends,
Sunny skies, light west wind and 2 metres of 12-second period ESE swell are adding up to good surf conditions along the beaches this morning. The first tide of the day is the low at 0815, so we should see a little extra push as the tide comes back into the 1.6m high at 1500. Set wave faces along the Dee Why stretch were overhead and it didn’t look as though you’d be doing much waiting around between opportunities. The main problem, as usual, was finding a reasonable peak among the shut downs. The plan is to hit it this morning, because the wind is likely to be around to the east by around lunchtime.
Tomorrow’s early session could be similar again, but with a more northerly tilt to the wind for the early. And the rest of the week is shaping to be back to increasingly showery weather, steady onshores and a weakening swell as the periods shorten into the 7-8 second range.
Have a good one!

These winds will freshen from the east to northeast on Wednesday as a low pressure trough approaches from the west.
