Still pumping on Thursday morning
Hello Friends,
As expected we continue to enjoy a classic winter swell event this morning. And the good news is that it’ll be sunny and offshore all day. Set wave faces at Dee Why point appeared to be in the 1.5x overhead range on the bigger ones. As of 0800 swell was 2.2 metres at 11.5 seconds from 165° (SSE). Tide hits low at 0940 and then comes back into the 1.48 high at 1605. We should see a high of 16 – which is 4C colder than the water.
The point had more than 20 in the water before 0800 and it’ll probably stay that way until dark because the open stretches are relentlessly shutting down, so opitions are limited.
It’ll be interesting to see what the Goat has to say later, but it’s looking to me as though we could have solid conditions for another week…
And that ain’t bad.
Have yourself a great Thursday everyone
Weather Situation
A high in the Great Australian Bight with a slow-moving low pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea will maintain a vigorous southwest flow, pushing a series of fronts and troughs over the coastal waters in the coming days.
