The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 2 June 2022: Seven day outlook for Sydney

TG says he “slammed that RAT’s disease! Kicked it off after a day”, he says… “thanks to being Triple Vaxxed and Clean Living!”.

But while he says he’s fine, I’ve noticed he doesn’t seem to have much energy just yet, firing on about 3 cylinders when pushed. And even though he’s allowed out now, he’s sniffed the morning air and rapidly retreated to where it’s not cold and windy. I didn’t know he could be so sensible. I can’t see him being too adventurous in the coming week, judging by the forecast for cold and windy days ahead…

Surf outlook for those who don’t mind the fresh air and cooler water

Thursday (today) the swell was dead south and a lot of it was going straight past

Friday: light winds should mean more swell coming ashore, say in the 1-2 metre, 2+ metre range South East

Saturday: easing back a little, say to somewhere in the 1-2 metre range South East. Light/ freshening offshore winds could make it exciting

Sunday: say around 1 – 1+ metres South East (and offshore windy winds)

Monday: windier conditions will knock it down some more… might even knock it out less than 1 metre or flattish South East

Tuesday: ditto

Wednesday: starting to come up at dead south spots, maybe around 2 – 2+ metres dead South, after making its way up the coast from way down south

Thursday: something similar

Stay warm. Stay cool. Stay well.

Water temp is around 21. As the map shows there’s a cool patch near the coast, but if you want to paddle out a few ks you’ll find some warmer water out there >>>
